Freddie Mac has named Charlotte Catalfo, a 28-year veteran of Principal Residential Mortgage, as interim senior vice president in charge of operations for its single-family program.
According to a memo issued to Freddie’s clients and top seller/servicers by new CEO Don Layton, she will replace Steve Clinton who was put in charge of what the GSE calls the “Conservatorship and Corporate Initiative.”
In that role Clinton will be the primary point contact for all conservatorship initiatives with its regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
Catalfo has had a long career in residential finance, also working for CitiMortgage, Wachovia and Vertice. She joined Freddie Mac in early 2010.
In his memo, Layton noted that Paul Mullings will continue to serve as interim head of Freddie’s single-family division.
