Rentsys Acquires EverGreen Data Continuity

In an effort to further enhance its business continuity planning solution, Rentsys Recovery Services, a provider of disaster recovery solutions for community banks, credit unions and other enterprises, acquired EverGreen Data Continuity Inc., Newbury, Mass.

Since 1995 College Station, Texas-based Rentsys Recovery Services has been specializing in fully customizable disaster recovery and business continuity solutions for banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders and other large enterprises. EverGreen adds to the combo business continuity, risk management, crisis management and disaster recovery software solutions and services.

The addition marks “a natural progression for Rentsys as it develops new supporting software products,” explained managing director of Rentsys, Walt Thomasson, adding “automated business continuity capabilities that fully prepare users for business recovery planning, audits and risk and crisis management.”

EverGreen adds both continuity planning software and professional consulting services to Rentsys’ current service and product offerings that enables users to create a beginning-to-end business continuity plan solution.

Reputation and software development focus were the main reasons why EverGreen partnered with Rentsys, said president and co-founder of EverGreen, Steve Burns.
