The awards have a long tradition in the mortgage finance and technology industries for recognizing innovative technology developers and users that are promoting more efficient and cost-effective lending practices. Mortgage Technology's editorial staff determined the winners with adherence to standards of objectivity and unbiased conduct.

This year's awards included two new categories, the Online Originator Award and the Harnessing Mobile Award. Continuing on an evolution of the awards that began two years ago, three were reserved to recognize lenders and servicers, while the remaining awards were geared toward vendors and individuals.

More than 50 companies and individuals received nominations.

The judges selected up to three finalists in each category as revealed in August, with the winners named during the awards ceremony. During the ceremony, a video highlighted the merits and accomplishments of each finalist. The videos are available at mortgage-technology.com. For more information about any of the winners, please read the October electronic edition of Mortgage Technology, also available online.
