• Laughter—Despite eating right and exercising, if you’re not laughing enough, your health may not be that great. If your friends or kids or spouse don’t make you laugh, find some funny people to hang out with. Or, buy some comedy CDs to listen to in your car or when you need a break.
It’s amazing how a great laugh can change your attitude throughout the day. And of course, if you’re happy, that projects a positive image and clients and realtors would much rather be around someone happy. As a side benefit, you can share jokes with others, which puts them in a good mood too. There’s so much great comedy out there. Check the iTunes store or Amazon.
• Social Connections—It’s well documented that one of the most important parts of good health is having social connections. You might eat healthy foods and exercise three hours a day, but if don’t have strong social connections, you’re overall health may in fact may not be that great.
If you’re not the social type by nature, volunteer somewhere to start building some ties. Take classes in areas that really interest you. As trite as it sounds, figure out what your really enjoy doing and find a group that you can do it with.
Figure out what really matters to you, and participate in a group that has the same priorities. If you have strong political beliefs, you might join a local political group. If you have strong environment beliefs, you might join a local environmental group, etc. If you love animals, volunteer caring for them.
We are social animals. We rely on interaction to thrive.
I’m convinced that if you follow the ideas on this list, you’ll feel better, inside and out, and be more successful in your business.
More next time.
