Utilizing Testimonials

My posting last Monday talked about gathering testimonials. http://www.originationnews.com/blogs/maven/gathering-testimonials-1029065-1.html Now I want you show you how to take those testimonials and utilize them in your business. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Processing Content

• On your website. Have a section titled “Find Out What Others are Saying About (name of loan officer)” where you list all your testimonials. Also place testimonials randomly throughout the main text of your website.

• With your Facebook or LinkedIn accounts. Have a place to list testimonials anywhere you are visible on the Internet. LinkedIn offers a great recommendation service where you can send recommendations and it asks the recipient if they want to recommend you back.

• In your email signature. Use a short testimonial below your contact information, changing it every so often for variety. This would be a great place to put testimonials from Realtors, since so much our business communication is done through e-mail.

• Create an "about me" binder. In a prominent place in your office and/or reception area, have a binder with testimonials, thank you cards, pictures and other affirmations of your strength as a loan officer.

• On the back of your business card. If you have a short testimonial that is extremely powerful, put it on the back of your next order of business cards.

• On brochures and flyers. This is especially important if you are targeting a specific audience and have satisfied customers that can speak for you. For example: reverse mortgages, second mortgages, using permanent buy-downs to sell homes, first-time homebuyer programs or anything else that you specialize in.
