Zillow Group to Acquire Online Closing Tech Provider DotLoop

Zillow Group in Seattle has agreed to buy DotLoop in Cincinnati, a provider of real estate document technology.

Zillow expects the deal to close in the third quarter. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DotLoop's products move the process of property sale closings online, including the creation of a listing agreement and the submission of offers to the actual closing, according to a news release. DotLoop's product is designed to be used for buyers, sellers, brokers, agents, lenders, inspectors and other participants.

Zillow plans to make the product available to its 10,000 broker partners and their agents, and to its 100,000 real estate agent advertisers.
