Pacific Union Financial LLC, Walnut Creek, Calif., has hired Rick W. Skogg as its new president.
Skogg joins the nonbank mortgage lender from MetLife Bank where he served as executive director for the past two years. During his long career in mortgage banking he also served as chief operating officer of Aurora Loan Services, a Lehman Brothers company.
Pacific Union CEO Evan Stone said of Skogg, “Since Pacific Union's inception in 2004, there has been no bigger addition to our company. Rick Skogg's experience and achievements speak for themselves. By Rick joining our company as its leader, we intend to grow our origination channels significantly and simultaneously to improve operational efficiencies.”
Pacific Union is a national lender that funds home mortgages through all three origination channels.
Earlier this year MetLife, an insurance conglomerate, shuttered its forward lending division, and sold its bank to General Electric.
