LendingTree already offers a Yelp-like community where consumers can rate loan officers. Now it has created a question-and-answer forum within its loan officer directory platform, the Charlotte, N.C.-based company announced Wednesday.
"It's common for consumers to have questions about borrowing even before they begin the loan process," said LendingTree founder and CEO Doug Lebda in a news release. "Until now, there hasn't been an easy way for a borrowers to connect with a licensed loan officer or have loan questions answered without filling out forms or beginning the loan process."
The question-and-answer community will allow users with personal loan questions to obtain responses from verified loan officers. These specialists must already have a profile on LendingTree's directory, which incorporates bios, photos and customer reviews.
