Karen Stegall has joined Wendover as director of audit and compliance while Nancy Armour has come aboard as director of underwriting and client services.

Stegall was a vice president at Bank of America, a due diligence manager for the investment banking division and credit policy manager for reverse mortgages. Armour has been in the reverse mortgage industry for over 19 years. She was formerly with Financial Freedom, holding a variety of positions in both operations and servicing.

Earlier, Kenneth L. Kanady came aboard as managing director of learning and development after nine years with Wells Fargo. There he created the original reverse loan officer training program as a member of the senior products group.

“The coming together of these three, highly-experienced and successful reverse mortgage professionals is evidence of our firm's serious commitment to revitalizing and broadening this mortgage segment,” said Taylor.

Kanady noted that changes in regulations and an overall expansion of federal involvement in reverse mortgages “make it more necessary for companies and their representatives to understand and comply with the rules. Competition has changed with the big players gone from the field and that presents a different competitive landscape.”
