NMN sister publication Mortgage Technology presents its 2012 list of the Top 50 Service Providers, released this week in the June edition of the magazine.
The annual list recognizes the technology and services vendors that excel in four categories—continued advancement of technology and services, viable revenue model and value proposition to customers, exceptional customer service and unique impact on the mortgage industry.
As an annual list, (there is no ranking of the firms) the Top 50 Service Providers puts particular emphasis on a provider’s accomplishments over the past year. Inclusion in a previous year’s list is not a metric for making the 2012 list. Still, the vendors on the list have a proven track record and provide innovative technology to lenders, servicers and other mortgage industry participants.
Mortgage Technology has recognized top-performing industry companies for more than a decade, dating back to when its “Top 100 Technology Vendors” list debuted in the July 2002 issue.
In 2006, the annual list was cut in half and split into two categories—the “Top 25 Vendors” and the “Top 25 Service Providers.” The list evolved again in 2007, becoming the “Top 50 Providers.” The current “Top 50 Service Providers” moniker has been in place since 2008.
Service providers were asked to submit nominations, which included an extensive questionnaire. Nearly 100 providers applied for consideration and the entries were judged by a panel of Mortgage Technology’s editorial staff.
