Nationstar's Xome Launches Notary App

Xome, a Nationstar Mortgage Holdings effort to automate the home-buying process, has launched a notary mobile app.

Xome Signings helps lenders, consumers and notaries correspond, schedule meetings and keep track of documents as they are completed. It is available on iOS and Android.

"At Xome we are trying to bridge the online and offline components of the real estate transaction to create a better experience," said Xome chief executive Kal Raman in an Oct. 15 news release.

Raman, who previously worked at Groupon, eBay and Amazon, led the launch of Xome in June.

The Lewisville, Texas-based company provides its home purchase transaction software to real estate agents free of charge and then charges them 1% on commissions.
